J & G Coughtrie is a trading name of Coughtrie International Limited. These terms and conditions of sale apply to all orders placed on the J & G Coughtrie Lighting website. By placing an order, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before ordering.

1. Products: We sell a range of lighting products for indoor and outdoor use. The products are described and displayed on our website as accurately as possible. However, we cannot guarantee that the colours, dimensions, specifications and images of the products are exact or error-free. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue any product at any time without notice or liability.
2. Prices: The prices of the products are shown on our website in British pounds sterling and include VAT. The prices do not include delivery charges, which are calculated and added to your order at checkout. We reserve the right to change the prices of the products at any time without notice or liability.
3. Orders: You can place an order on our website by selecting the products you wish to buy and adding them to your shopping cart. You can then proceed to checkout and provide your personal and payment details. You will receive an email confirmation of your order once it has been placed. Your order is subject to our acceptance and availability of the products. We may reject or cancel your order for any reason, such as if the products are out of stock, if there is an error in the price or description of the products, or if we suspect fraud or misuse of our website.
4. Payment: You can pay for your order using a credit or debit card or PayPal. We use a secure payment service provider to process your payment and we do not store your card details. You must ensure that you have sufficient funds in your account and that your card is valid and not expired. You are responsible for any fees or charges imposed by your bank or card issuer.
5. Delivery: We aim to deliver your order within 7- 10 working days from the date of acceptance of your order. However, delivery times are estimates and may vary depending on factors such as stock availability, weather conditions, postal delays, or other circumstances beyond our control. We will notify you by email if there is any delay in the delivery of your order. We deliver to addresses in the United Kingdom only. We do not deliver to PO boxes or BFPO addresses.
6. Returns and refunds: If you are not satisfied with your order, you can return it to us within 30 days from the date of delivery for a full refund or exchange, provided that the products are unused, undamaged, in their original packaging, and with all labels and tags attached. You must contact us by email at info@coughtrie.co.uk before returning any products and obtain a return authorization number. You must include this number with your return package. You are responsible for the cost and risk of returning the products to us. We recommend that you use a tracked and insured delivery service. We will process your refund or exchange within 14 days from the date we receive your return package. We will refund you using the same method of payment that you used to place your order.
7. Warranty: We warrant that the products are of satisfactory quality and conform to their description on our website. This warranty does not cover any defects or damages caused by misuse, abuse, neglect, accident, normal wear and tear, improper installation, modification, alteration, repair or service by unauthorized persons, exposure to extreme temperatures or humidity, power surges or failures, fire, flood or other natural disasters. If you receive a defective or damaged product, you must notify us by email at info@coughtrie.com within 7 days from the date of delivery and provide proof of purchase and photos of the defect or damage. We will then arrange for a replacement or refund of the product at our discretion.
8. Liability: To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude all liability for any loss or damage arising from or in connection with your use of our website or products, whether direct, indirect, consequential, incidental, special or punitive, including but not limited to loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, reputation, business interruption, personal injury or property damage. Nothing in these terms and conditions limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, breach of statutory duty or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
9. Intellectual property: The content of this website, including but not limited to text, images, logos, trademarks, and design, is the property of J & G Coughtrie or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, or display any part of this website without the prior written consent of J & G Coughtrie.
