Flanked by 2 massive paddle wheels, the mighty Waverley is the world’s last seagoing paddle steamship, first launched in 1947 from Greenock in Glasgow. Now operated by the Paddle Steamer Preservation Society, J&G Coughtrie were approached to light the extensive Engine Room, galleys and walkways around the ship as part of a complete restoration in 2020.

Over 2 staged refits, we provided over 20 new, 1000-hour salt spray certified SP-12 Bulkhead lights. The flexible nature of the SP-12 allowed the lights to be mounted on walls, over doorways and in the bar area, while lights in Fire Exit locations could be fitted with Emergency back-up batteries.
